South Asia Network Operators Group (SANOG 25th)

The twenty fifth South Asia Network Operators Group (SANOG) conference will be hosted by LEARN in Kandy, Sri Lanka on 16th to 24th January 2015 in collaboration with Information Technology Center, University of Peradeniya with the support of University of Peradeniya.

This will be the forth time a SANOG event is hosted in Sri Lanka and it has been hosted twice by LEARN. For the third time it was hosted again by LEARN in January 2011 in Colombo with the support of .LK


Nominations from LEARN member Institutes

LEARN member institutions may send any number of nominations by giving a prioritized list. LEARN shall allocate sheets depends on the size of the class rooms. The local registration fee can be seen at the SANOG website. LEARN shall provide 20% discount for LEARN member institutions on FULL registration.


LEARN Fellowship Program for SANOG 25

Apart from SANOG fellowship, LEARN has introduced a special fellowship for its own member institutes. This facilitates 40 to 45 network engineers/administrators of LEARN member institutes to participate in whole 9 days event free of charge. The fellowship provides

1. Registration (includes refreshments, lunches and participate in the program dinner/social event)
2. Accommodation, shared basis at University lodges

An institute shall nominate one per each NOC of their institution (one per each connection). The nominee should be the NOC engineer/administrator who is actively dealing with network operations. Nominations should be sent through LEARN representative/LEARN BoD member and head of the institute on or before 25 December 2014.
