LEARN will be hosting the 34th meeting of the Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo from August 25 to August 29, 2012.
This 5-day event will highlight tutorials, oral presentations and demonstrations covering advanced network technologies and applications. There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with researchers and practitioners from Asia Pacific and beyond during this meeting.
The APAN 34th programme spans network and application technologies as well as case studies of advanced networking in areas such as:
- Application: Medical, High Definition TV, Middleware, e-Culture and Agriculture.
- Technology: IPv6, Network Security, Future Internet Testbed, Unified Communications and Sensor Networks.
The program of this event will consist of a number of workshops/tutorials and meetings of working groups.

In order to facilitate local networking professionals and researchers to attend this event, LEARN will provide fellowships.
The fellowship will cover only the registration for this five-days event. Please note that the fellowship *will not* cover accommodation or transport. More details about the APAN34 program can be found in the APAN34 Colombo Meeting Webpage.
Employees of the member institutions of LEARN are eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.
Those who wish to apply can do so by completing and submitting the online application form. The deadline for application is 3rd August 2012. Selected fellows will be notified through email on 10th August 2012.
